I started sewing from the very young age of seven; my mum having taught me and my siblings the important lifeskill of sewing.
Fast forward to 2024, I’m now instructor at the new ‘Lilax Studio’ (it’s all about sewing) where we teach others the art of sewing. We’re trying to build up the community of sewists in Manitoba!
While in university, I pursued Costuming courses & later took Pattern Drafting at Red River Collage. I continue to pursue seamstress knowledge to this day. I currently work in film as a union (IATSE) member Costume Stitcher.
